What is a USB Data Blocker?

In our daily routine we all use USB cables to charge our Smartphones /Tablets and do not think twice about it. But we forget, these cables are also used for data transfer.  Typically, we use a “USB Wall Charger” and plug the USB Cable into it and there is no issue. But what if there is no electrical outlet for the USB Wall Charger?

When you are traveling Public USB Charging Stations are readily available. Yes, your devices have safeguards, but we are in a time where Hacking is ever evolving…

The problem is, plugging your Smartphone/Tablet into a “Public USB Charging Stations” puts them at risk. Your device can be infected with malware and /or become a victim of data thief.  This type of cyber-attack is called “Juice Jacking”.   Additionally, once infected plugging your device into your laptop can put it at risk.

The “USB Data Blocker”, aka “USB Charge-Only Adapter”, only allows charging and disables the transfer of data.
