How do you define what goes into your Go-Bag ?

When researching the components needed for the “Digital Go-Bag”, it became apparent this is just one piece of your “Emergency Plan”.

So where do you Start ? Analyze you situation and create an “Emergency Plan”
What do you and your family need to survive an Emergency /Disaster – Man-Made, Acts of Nature, Medical… Based on this analysis create an “Emergency Plan” that addresses these needs. The type and contents of your Go-Bag(s) will be based on this analysis. There are so many types, they are called: Kits, Bug-Out Bags, Go-Bags…

They span:
Basic, Digital, Family, Medical, 72-Hour, Workplace, Daily, Survival, Vehicle, Document (Fireproof with Lock), Pet, Outdoor, …

Example:
A typical Survival Bag contains Toiletries, Cloths Food /Water, Batteries, Whistle, Emergency Plan, Pen /Notepad, Chargers, Battery Banks, Flashlight, Radio, First Aid Kit, Money…

What I have discovered is that unless you have experienced an Emergency /Disaster, it is hard to fathom the impact. An “Emergency Planning” is not paranoid or crazy, it is prepping for a reality that we all hope never happens.

One friend said to be “Young and Dumb” and my response was what I stated in a previous blog: “Ignorance is Bliss” and to add “Knowledge is Power”
