A Florida man was recently arrested, for setting the California “Lachman Fire” that smoldered underground, approximately 6 days, before resurfacing and spreading due to high winds: Causing the “Palisades Fire”. The fact the man has mental health issues is irrelevant to the fact that this fire burned 23,448 acres, killed 12 people, and destroyed 6,837 structures. This is another example of how life can change in the “Blink of an Eye“, jeopardizing everything we take for granted.
Just like any other disasters, Man-Made or Nature, the residence faced the same issues:
Little to no time to evacuate and Limited and /or no access to:
– Homes, Properties…
– Documents: Legal /Medical /financial, Identification…
– Services: Cell Service, Internet, Electricity, Housing, Food, Fuel…
Basically: “That which is needed during /after a disaster to survive and put one’s life back together.” This is another example of why you need a “Digital Go-Bag”. Remember it is part of your “Survival /Emergency Go- Bag”.
